How VouchFox works
Every label on your profile has one rule behind it, and none of them can be bought. This page lists them all, in the order you will meet them.
Your profile
- Unclaimed
- A page exists for your shop but nobody at your company has taken it yet. Buyers can already review you. Anyone with an email at your domain can claim it in a minute from For vendors.
- Claimed
- Someone with an email at your domain proved it by opening a link we sent there. From then on you can reply to reviews, invite customers, import your reviews from elsewhere, add a logo and description, and put the widget on your site. Claiming changes nothing about existing reviews.
- Shop-connected
- Your shop sends review invites by itself after each order, through our API or the WooCommerce plugin. Shown while your last automatic invite is under 90 days old. This is the mark buyers learn to look for, because it means the reviews came from orders, not from a list someone typed.
- On Trustpilot4.7312 reviews
- While your VouchFox page has no reviews of its own, it shows your rating and review count from Trustpilot with a link, so a buyer is not looking at a blank. Only the figures, never the reviews. It disappears the moment your first review lands here.
Your reviews
Three kinds of vouching, three badges. A buyer can tell them apart at a glance, and so should you.
- Verified purchase
- The invite came from your shop after an order, through the API or the plugin. A person could not have typed the address in. The strongest badge there is, and the only way to get it is to connect the shop.
- Invited by vendor
- You typed or uploaded the customer’s address and we sent the invite. You vouch that this is a customer; we did not see the order. Counts in your score and your verified share, and the profile prints how many reviews came this way. Hand-sent invites are capped per day while the profile is new (50, then 100, 200, 500) so a new sender does not look like a spam run to mailbox providers.
- Verified on Trustpilot
- A review you brought over from Trustpilot with its own verification. Import is a CSV export from your Trustpilot business account, uploaded from your dashboard; a person at VouchFox spot-checks the file, then the whole batch goes live with this badge. Reviews Trustpilot did not verify come over unverified with the label below.
- Imported from Trustpilot
- Imported and not verified anywhere. Published like any other review, labelled with where it came from.
- No badge
- Someone wrote it from your page after confirming their email. We check for bots, throwaway addresses and duplicates, but we could not confirm a purchase. It counts and it shows.
The score
Once you have five or more verified reviews, the headline score is the average of verified reviews only. Below that, it is the average of everything published. The verified share is always printed under the score. A profile with 300 reviews and 4% verified is telling buyers something, and that is the point: invite everyone from a period, not the happy ones.
Under the score, buyers see what other buyers reported: median days to arrive, how often a certificate of analysis came with the order, which payment methods went through, and where you ship from. Those come from the review form, not from you. You can add what you tell buyers yourself (COA page, shipping regions, reship policy) in Settings, and it is shown separately as “Vendor says”.
What you can and cannot do
- Reply once per review, in public, and edit that reply later. Buyers read replies as closely as reviews.
- Flag a review with a reason. A person reads it within five working days and leaves it up, hides it, or removes it. Negative is not a reason.
- Not edit, hide or delete a review. Not even one that is wrong; flag it instead.
- Not choose which reviews the widget shows. It shows verified reviews newest first, whatever the rating.
- Not buy a better score. There is nothing to buy. The service is free.
Getting reviews in
- 01Connect the shop. WooCommerce plugin (one file, paste your key) or one API call from any other shop after an order ships. Every order sends one invite, after the delay you choose. Reviews come back as Verified purchase.
- 02Invite the customers you already have. Paste addresses or upload a CSV in the dashboard. One email each, a one-time link, one review per address ever. Marked Invited by vendor.
- 03Bring your Trustpilot reviews. Export from your Trustpilot business account, upload the file, we check it, it goes live. Their verification stays on the review.
- 04Put a card in the box. A printable QR card that opens your review page. Reviews from it are unverified, because there is no order behind the scan, so pair it with the connected shop.
Mail and lists
Invites go out from our domain, one per address, with a working unsubscribe. Bounces and spam complaints are counted per vendor; past the thresholds mailbox providers use, your invites pause until a person looks at where the list came from. Invite real customers from real orders and you will never see it.
Find your page, claim it with an email at your domain, connect the shop.
